Jam City, a leader in mobile entertainment, today announced the appointment of game industry veteran Lisa Anderson as Senior Vice President of Game Operations. Anderson joins Jam City following an 18-year tenure at Disney, most recently as Vice President of Games responsible for global game development including the mobile hit Disney Emoji Blitz.

Lisa Anderson will oversee game operations at Jam City’s Los Angeles area studios, including the teams in Culver City and Burbank. She will focus on expanding Jam City’s slate of original IP along with the development of games based on Disney and Pixar franchises through the company’s partnership with the iconic studio. Lisa is spearheading development of Jam City’s new mobile game based on the sequel to Disney’s Frozen.

“Lisa is a fantastic addition to the team. Her deep knowledge of Disney and it’s iconic IP combined with a strong track record for developing and growing franchise games makes her a perfect fit to lead the team as we execute on our strategic partnership with Disney,” said Josh Yguado, Co-founder and COO at Jam City.

“I am thrilled to be part of one of the most creative teams in the games business,” said Lisa Anderson, SVP of Game Operations. “Jam City’s impressive track record of building globally popular original games, and reimagining mobile entertainment experiences for iconic brands makes them an ideal home for me.”

Before joining Jam City, Anderson spent nearly two decades at Disney, most recently as Vice President of Games for Disney’s Consumer Products and Interactive (DCPI) division. At Disney, she managed the global games portfolio representing all licensed and vertically developed games for Disney and Pixar, including games based on Club Penguin and Frozen among other titles. She also developed and grew Disney Emoji Blitz into a $100 million franchise.

Anderson joins Jam City amid the continued expansion of its business. Earlier this year, Jam City announced its first European studio, Jam City Berlin, which increases its global presence to nine studios in the U.S., Canada, Argentia, Colombia, and Germany. The company’s popular RPG game Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery was the #1 game in more than 40 countries at its launch in April 2018, according to Sensor Tower. And Jam City’s enduring global franchises include Cookie Jam with more than $600M in revenue and Panda Pop with more than 120 million downloads to date.
